About this game
Wildwood Nights is a big top-down forest survival adventure inspired by the 99-nights genre. Four children are lost somewhere in a vast five-biome wilderness — find their cabins, take their hands and walk them home to your campfire before dark. The first night is quiet; after that the forest wakes: wolf packs and brutes besiege your camp, and worse things prowl the treeline — the Skelm, the Barrowback and the Vesper, towering entities that stalk YOU through the dark but can never step into firelight. Chop wood, mine iron, hunt rabbits, loot abandoned cabins and ancient ruins (weapons hide in the best chests), cook stew, wrap bandages — carry two and you'll patch yourself up instead of dying. Raise walls, spike traps, torches, ballistas and a tent to shelter the kids at night. Pick one of six survivors, forge five weapon tiers up to the meteor-forged Star Blade, face a named boss every 10th night and the Forest King himself on night 99. No music — just birdsong, crickets, owl calls and the howl that means night has come. No download, no sign-up.

Tips & tricks
- Wood is life: the fire burns almost twice as fast at night, and rain makes it hungrier still.
- Feed the kids every day — each one alive pays a coin bonus at dawn, and losing one hurts.
- Craft the Stone Axe early: it chops 60% faster and hits harder than the spear.
- Shades can't enter light — a ring of torches makes them harmless. Brutes smash walls, so back them with spike traps.
- Meteor showers drop star metal: brave the impact zone to forge the Star Blade, the best weapon in the game.
- The trader, the golden rabbit and the caged dog are all worth a detour — the dog fights for you forever.
- Every 10th night is a boss night. Stock salves, repair walls and get the ballistas loaded before dusk.
Frequently asked questions
Is Wildwood Nights free to play?
Yes! It's completely free on Jellyzap and runs right in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.
How big is the world?
Huge for a browser game: five biomes around your camp — forest, dark woods, rocky hills, swamp and snowfields — dotted with lakes, ancient ruins, chests and secrets, all revealed on your minimap as you explore.
What's the goal?
Survive 99 nights. Each night sends bigger waves, every 10th night brings a named boss, and night 99 is a final showdown with the Forest King. Your best night is saved as your high score.
Can I really pet the dog?
Yes. Rescue the dog from the nearby ruin and it fights at your side, digs up presents at dawn — and petting it earns you the Best Friend achievement.
What are coins and perks?
Enemies, chests and dawns pay coins. Spend them in the Perks tab on permanent upgrades — more health, faster gathering, a free revive and more — that persist across runs.
How do I play on mobile?
A virtual joystick appears on the left half of the screen; big buttons on the right attack, interact and eat. The context button always shows the nearest useful action.
